Recognizing that many agencies have experienced isolation and organizational changes in the past several years, Community Connect is a collaborative effort of Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Boys & Girls Club, the Community Foundation, and United Way to provide you and your team an opportunity to network with other agencies serving our area. You can use this time to create, or renew, relationships that will help you efficiently and effectively serve your clients and the community. Please join us for one or all sessions of Community Connect. There is a $5 fee for the Lunch & Learn to cover the cost of lunch.
Join us on August 23, 2022, at the Boys & Girls Club Caroline S. Mark Center for a day that will include the following:
10 am – noon: Nonprofit Connect Join other local nonprofits for introductions, updates, and a networking hour to learn about new programs, get a refresher on past programs, and meet new employees and partners at the various agencies.
Noon – 1 pm: Lunch & Learn We look forward to hosting Casey Nye, Superintendent of DCE School District, and Kevin Noel with the Community Partners Campus for a Nonprofit Lunch & Learn. During this hour, we will hear from these community leaders about how they have collaborated and networked with local agencies to make an impact in our area.
1:15 – 3pm: Nonprofit Resource Fair This portion of the day is open for agencies and programs to highlight their initiatives to anyone in our community that would like to learn more about the nonprofits serving our area. Attendees may include social service agencies, educators, law enforcement, community members, local government, counselors, therapists, etc. You will have access to a table and chairs to set up your booth if you choose to do so.
