What is Women In Action? MISSION: Women in Action empowers positive change in the lives of others through leadership and involvement in philanthropy, volunteerism and advocacy. Women in Action is about mobilizing women to help other women… by giving, advocating and volunteering. It’s a unique opportunity for women who want to help others by joining a giving circle and being part of a powerful network of other active and caring women. The Marathon County program is launching in 2008 as part of a nationwide movement. By joining now, you will be a charter member and part of driving an innovative grassroots approach to meet our community’s most critical needs. What will Women In Action do? Many women in our area are facing financial hardships that take a toll on their lives, their families and the community. Women in Action is partnering with the Financial Stability Coalition to provide support services, funding and volunteer time toward targeted programs that help women achieve long-term self-sufficiency. We’ll share our voice, lend a hand and give resources to help meet the needs of families who are struggling.
